Jan 12 works for Alex and me.
As for meeting spaces, our HOA has meeting rooms we can reserve, here's a
description of the options:
The Large Space (capacity 70 persons) contains a kitchen with a
cook-top/oven, refrigerator/freezer and a dishwasher. Cleaning supplies are
provided; users provide dishes and kitchenware. The furnished and carpeted
living/dining room has a gas fireplace, table and benches for 6 and
furniture that accommodates an additional 14. Stored in the closets are 3
round and 2 rectangular folding tables, some table cloths and 24 stackable
chairs.
The Small Spaces (capacity 20) There are three rooms adjacent to our WLOA
Office. One seats six persons and includes a fireplace and soft
furnishings. Two other carpeted rooms include a small child's play area and
a room suited to meetings, study, or games for 4 to 6 persons at it's round
table.
Did a quick look at OSU spaces, but looks like they'd charge.
Sincerely,
Natalie

Subject: [NFBO-Linn-benton] Follow-up from meeting - LB Chapter Holiday
Party; other possible meeting locations
Hello all, it has been proposed that we have a nice holiday dinner party in
lieu of regular meetings in December and January. But we are still trying to
find an acceptable date for this holiday party. Carolyn and I are happy to
host, and the best time for us would be a Sunday evening. I already know of
conflicts up to Jan 12. Is Jan 12 okay with everybody? Carolyn and I will be
travelling from Jan 14 to Jan 26, so the next open Sunday for us would be
Feb 2. Unless we want to combine this holiday with Independence Day, that is
getting kind of late. Please chime in as to your availability on Jan 12.
Second topic that was raised in the last meeting was the possibility of
having some or all our meetings in a room that permits us to have occasional
guest speakers - on topics of local or general interest. I will check with
Reynolds Law firm about rules for their meeting rooms. It would be good if
others of you could investigate other possibilities.
Thanks!
John
