Hello all,
I apologize for the delay in getting these sent. Windows has changed their email client and it's not the best for accessibility. Attached and pasted below are the minutes for the November meeting. I look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow!
National Federation of the Blind of Ohio, Springfield Chapter Meeting

Reports
Pat moved to approve the secretary's report as emailed. Mickie seconded, and the motion passed.
The treasurer's report was read. The ending balance on October 31, 2023, was $5,202.78. Mickie moved to accept the treasurer's report, Aleeha seconded. The motion passed.
Unfinished Business
The state convention will begin on November 17, 2023. The board meeting begins at 10:00 AM and is the official beginning of the convention. Our national representative is Tracy Soforenko, who is on the national board of directors. Debbie explained the remainder of the state convention agenda.
The scholarship winners for this year are Emma Dennis, Jenifer Kasunick and Abigail Kinney.
We are contributing $50 to door prizes for state convention, in the form of five $10 prizes.
The basket for the auction at banquet on November 18 is a maximum of $225 spent from the chapter. Gina discussed items in the basket. We received a donation from the Kitchen Window Winery at a value of $88 plus tax. They donated a bottle of apple wine, a ceramic cookie jar, chocolate chip pancake mix, a kitchen towel, an apron, a wooden spoon, and corn chowder soup mix. As a chapter, we purchased additional items, including a corkscrew, some glasses, pumpkin butter, cocktail toast, and a silicon knife, as well as the basket and covering. The basket total is $134.25. Pat and Dave will be donating an additional bottle of wine as well.
As a chapter, we sent flowers for Joe Jeffrey as he has passed away. The flowers were $87.74.
The November 2023 Presidential release was played.
Our December meeting will be December 16, 2023 at the Park Branch of the Clarke County Public Library.
