Hello, 

 

While we have closed recruitment for our employed study group (we have 314
completed surveys), we are still seeking participants for our unemployed
study group. Criteria for participation are (1) not currently working but
being interested in working, (2) age 21 or older, (3) regular use of
assistive technology (at least monthly), and (4) not being retired from a
career of work. If you know of anyone who qualifies to participate, please
let them know about the study! You can share this link to our news item:

We are still in the process of analyzing the data from the surveys you
completed, but we wanted to share one bit of information from the study now
(referred to as a Fast Fact).  

 

Employed study group members used between 1 and 22 AT's on the job, with an
average of 7. The most commonly used AT on the job was (not surprisingly)
screen reader software. Only 6 people, or less than 2%, did not use a
computer on the job. 

 

We will share more results from the study with you soon!
