Seminars at Hadley Presents: Braille Exchange: Enhancing Independence: Integrating Modern Technology and Braille
Date: Wednesday, June 11, 2014
Time: 10:00 AM CDT, 15:00 GMT
We often hear with all of the modern technology available that braille is no longer needed. Don’t believe it! Did you know you can enhance your independence by integrating modern technology and braille? Gain insight from those who use devices such as braille displays and notetakers.
Join Seminars at Hadley and learn the secrets of modern technologies in synergy with braille in the 21st century. Hadley instructors Vileen Shah and Jennifer Ottowitz, along with five Hadley students, will discuss the benefits to integrating modern technology and braille for their personal use at home, at work and in the community.
Doug Anzlovar, dean of Educational Programs and Instruction, will moderate this 60-minute seminar. A question and answer session will be included as part of the seminar.
This seminar is an audio presentation. Space in this seminar is limited. Please only register if you know you are available to attend so that others are not closed out. Register for Braille Exchange: Enhancing Independence Integrating Modern Technology and Braille on June 11. <http://click.icptrack.com/icp/relay.php?r=10207074&msgid=720502&act=GE9S&c=225701&destination=http%3A%2F%2Fhadley.edu%2FSeminarDetails.asp%3Fsid%3D233>
