A reporter from WLTX TV 19 in Columbia just interviewed me concerning
braille literacy. It seems that another blind lady developed a braille
translation program for optical character recognition for pdf image files.
She interviewed me concerning the importance of braille literacy. We also
spoke concerning the percentage of those who are blind that use braille and
receiving braille instruction at the earliest age. I did speak about the
federation and what we do at the Center. I demonstrated braille
transcription and the interview will be aired on Channel 18 in Columbia at
5:00 p.m.
