Dear Federation Family:

 

As many of you know from the Positive Note this week, Anderson Chapter
President Furman Marchbanks passed away this Monday after the convention.  "
I am very sad to report the death of Furman Dean Marchbanks who passed away
at his home on Monday morning, October 31.  Dean was doing an outstanding
job as President of the Anderson Chapter prior to becoming seriously ill a
few months ago.  His energy and enthusiasm for the NFB will be greatly
missed.  We all need to keep his family and the Anderson Chapter in our
thoughts and prayers."  

            It was his desire that memorial gifts be sent to the Federation
Center of the Blind, 119 S. Kilbourne Rd., Columbia, SC 29205
