JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under general supervision, incumbent will provide administrative/clerical assistance with services associated with the Prevention of Blindness Program. Provides assistance with reading eye reports and other referral documents as necessary for the Older Blind Program.
MINIMUM AND ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Experience in a relevant program area.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
An Associate's degree and two years of experience working in a health care setting or a bachelor's degree.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:
Knowledge of principles, policies, and practices of office management. Experience working in a healthcare setting. Ability to effectively plan and organize work activities and prioritize task completion according to schedules and goals. Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbally). Ability to deal courteously and effectively with the public and establish working relationships with internal and external customers. Ability to manage case files and records accordingly. Ability to respond to email correspondences and phone calls in a timely manner. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced office environment with other agency departments. Ability to operate a state vehicle as necessary. Ability to move or carry office equipment. Some travel required. Work mostly performed in an office.
