This Monday the Federation Center had a pipe leak inside the Conference
Room.  The pipe was under the concrete.  We had it repaired within 24 hours
at a cost of over $2,000.  However, a secondary leak was detected a few
hours after the first repair which was not connected to the first leak but
to a pipe (also under the cement) which runs through the storage room under
some floor cabinets.  

 

The additional cost to repair the pipe will be $1,000.  I need ten chapters
or individuals to send in $100 to help take care of this expense.  Every day
the water is shut off, we cannot do computer training at the Federation
Center or do much of anything else.  Make your tax deductible check payable
to the Federation Center of the Blind and send it to 119 S. Kilbourne Rd.,
Columbia, SC 29205.  Mark it as leak repair.  Together we can get the
Federation Center up and running with water being restored.  The office will
