Hey NFB Family and Friends,

The following is information from Trisha Kulkarni, NABS President.

It has been wonderful to connect with many of

you during what has been a busy and successful convention season.

In this virtual world we are living in, the National Association of Blind
Students (NABS) has been missing the opportunity to gather at regional
seminars across the country to share our experiences in the classroom and
beyond; yet, the need for our community is stronger than ever! For this
reason, we are so excited to be launching our first ever virtual NABS At
Large Seminar entitled Speaking Up and Branching Out, which is open to blind
students across the country and is focused on empowering attendees to know
the power of their voices.

Spread the word far and wide and get students registered
<https://forms.gle/pGrq8jg2TTa2opETA> . If financial considerations are at
all a barrier to attendance, I welcome students to reach out directly to me.

Please see the below information and flyer. Registration closes on December
15.

Best Regards,

Trisha Kulkarni

President | National Association of Blind Students

A Proud Division of the National Federation of the Blind

Terrified of public speaking? Have experience but are excited to refine your
skills? The National Association of Blind Students is committed to
empowering all blind students to know the power of their voices. Especially
in this new era of education, join us for a virtual weekend to equip
attendees with techniques and the self-confidence to advocate effectively in
academic, professional, and everyday life.
