[NFBofSC] You are Cordially Invited!!!

Hello NFB of SC!

 

You are cordially invited to a Christmas celebration and drop-in at the
Federation Center, 119 S. Kilbourne Road, Columbia, SC 29205 on Saturday,
December 12 from noon until 4:00.

 

We will wear masks during this event, except when we are actively eating or
drinking.

 

Come join your fellow affiliate members for some good cheer, refreshments,
and Christmas music. If you wish to participate in a gift exchange, please
bring a new wrapped item with a value of at least $10. If you are a female,
please bring a gift for a female or a gift for either male or female. If you
are a male, please bring a gift for a male or either male or female. Please
note in print and/or Braille female, male or both. We will draw numbers and
make a game out of the exchange. Again, this is optional.

 

When I was growing up and now, that I have children ages 7 and 10, we have
always given to someone in need, anytime during the year, but especially
around the holidays. My hope is that we can collectively think of a family,
individual, group that may need our love, prayers, and a small gift of food,
clothes, socks, gloves, or other vital items and bring to this gathering to
be distributed.

tomorrow on SC connects.

 

Also, if you know of families or individuals in our blind community that
cannot get out and may need a helping hand of food, errand run, a visit,
please let me know so we can work together to insure our affiliate members
are cared for and thought of.

me so that we know how much food to order.
