Federation of the Blind is to attend a chapter or division meeting in your
local area. You can find your nearest chapter or division meeting by
reaching out to your state affiliate president. Membership in a chapter or
division will automatically grant you membership in your state affiliate and
the national organization.

Hello SFL Virtual Event Attendees

The annual SFL auction will be held Friday evening at 8 P.M. This year, it
will be a live auction and the event will be using the Zoom webinar format.
When you arrive at the Zoom webinar, all attendees will be muted. 
When the auction begins, each item will be presented then everyone will be
invited to bid. At that time, you can raise your hand and the auctioneer
will allow you to unmute yourself. You will be reminded of the keystrokes
for raising hands and unmuting.

There are 45 items in this year's auction. I have attached an Excel
spreadsheet containing the item number, who donated it, links to photographs
of the item, item description, retail value, and minimum bid.

This spreadsheet is also available on the SFL website at
http://www.sfl.org/auction . When you access this page, you will find a link
that says Go to a List of 2021 Auction Items. If you access this link with a
Windows PC running a web browser such as Edge, you will be prompted for what
you would like to do with this item. If you press f6 and then right arrow,
you can choose to open the spreadsheet or save it.

If you select this link with an iPhone or iPad, you will have the options to
View or Download. I recommend that you choose View. Once the content of the
spreadsheet is on your screen, VoiceOver users can turn the rotor to Rows
and it will be very easy to move through the columns and rows of the
spreadsheet by flicking in the direction you intend to go. I find this a
particularly easy and efficient way to navigate this spreadsheet.

Our virtual event is only a few days away so get ready to stretch, connect
with old friends and make new ones, and bid on something wonderful at the
auction.
