Subject: Assist us in making NFB-NEWSLINE better for all!

Dear valued subscriber,

We are nearing the final stages of moving our telephone access method for
NFB-NEWSLINE to the cloud. Our previous beta test went well, and we thank
those of you who assisted with that round of testing. Before making any
permanent changes, we invite all subscribers to become beta testers of the
new system and report any problems encountered while testing. During this
round, the objective is to call NFB-NEWSLINE as you normally do and report
any problems you observe. If you run into problems, you may return to using
the NFB-NEWSLINE number you previously used for reading.

Below are instructions on items to test. Use this list as a guide only. Your
testing should include your normal usage of the NFB-NEWSLINE telephone
system and anything else you wish to try. All functions should work as
expected except for job listings under option nine.

How to send feedback

Any time you would like to offer feedback, email

nfbnewsline at nfb.org <mailto:nfbnewsline at nfb.org>

or call 410-659-9314 <tel:+14106599314> , extension 2354.

When reporting a problem, be as specific as possible so we can duplicate the
issue. Include the date and time when the problem occurred. We would also
like to hear from you during the beta test at least once a week with general
impressions of the new cloud-based touch-tone service.

The telephone number and extension listed above route to a voice mailbox at
the National Federation of the Blind headquarters in Baltimore, Maryland.
This number is not answered and is set up to receive voicemails only.

*	Can you navigate the main menu without issues?
*	Do all menu options respond correctly when selected?
*	How does the Sophie voice sound compared to your usual selection?
*	How does the Mark voice sound compared to your usual selection?
*	Are both voices clear and easy to understand at normal speed?
*	Do the voices maintain quality and clarity when speed is increased
or decreased?
*	Are pauses and sentence breaks handled naturally by both voices?
*	Do names, numbers, and special characters (for example, dollar
amounts or abbreviations) read correctly?
*	Can you browse through articles using next and previous commands?
*	Can you change newspapers and return to your previous selection
without error?
*	Does the speed adjustment feature work properly?
*	Are voice preferences saved after you hang up and call back?
*	Can you switch between voices smoothly?
*	Do you experience any lag or unexpected pauses?
*	Does the system disconnect or freeze at any point?
*	If you encounter an issue, does restarting the call resolve it?
*	If you encounter an issue, please note the exact date and time it
occurred.

Thank you

We appreciate your feedback on any other issues or observations you
experience during testing. Your input will help ensure the system performs
at its best for all users.
