Ready Together: Fire Safety Training for People with Disabilities

 

June 2 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

 

Know the Plan. Stay Safe. Be Ready. When it comes to fire safety, preparation is power — and everyone deserves the tools and knowledge to protect themselves. This free, virtual training is designed by and for people with disabilities. Space is limited. Register today and take the next step toward feeling confident, prepared, and in control.

People with disabilities are invited to join us for FREE monthly skills training classes online and in person! To register and make a request for an accommodation based upon disability for any of the above trainings, please contact us at 800-681-6805, TTY: 803-779-0949, or email  <mailto:peersupport at able-sc.org> peersupport at able-sc.org a week before the event.

 

Our trainings take place both in person and online.

 

June Topic: Promoting Choice & Decision-Making. Finding confidence in making decisions for yourself and voicing your needs. 

 

In-Person Trainings: 4th Tuesday of the Month, 1 pm to 2:30 pm 

 

Online Trainings: 4th Wednesday of the Month, 10 am to 11 am

Empower Hour! Have a disability? Empower Hour is led by your peers. If you'd like to join, contact peersupport at able-sc.org <mailto:peersupport at able-sc.org>  or call 1-800-681-6805. To make a request for accommodation based on disability, please call us at 800-681-6805 a week before the event.

Empower Hour meets online weekly: Thursdays from 1 pm to 2 pm
In Person Monthly at Columbia and Greenville offices: 2nd Thursday of each month from 3 pm- 4 pm. 

 






 

 









Youth Corner: Hangouts for ages 13-28

Did you know Able SC offers peer support for youth with disabilities?

Our Youth Hangouts are run by our Equip Leadership Group. We talk about becoming an adult, self-advocacy, and independent living skills. Learn more about the Equip Program

This Memorial Day, we remember and highlight those of our disability community who've passed in battle and at home. Able SC offices will be closed in recognition of the holiday on May 25, 2026.
