Great news.

The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want; blindness is not what holds you back

Good News! A few days ago Ronnie found out that he will receive Aira Scholarship! Equipment, training and service at no cost for 9 months!
This is a result of his advocacy and support of this new and life changing product for the blind.

When Ronnie responded to a message saying that Aira had more scholarships opportunities available through the NFB he called right away. Unfortunately, he was denied and informed that all the slots for Ohio were filled.
The next day, he received another call informing him that the company decided to make an exception, based on how he has promoted Aira !

The squeekey wheel gets the grease! Great job Ronnie!

We are looking forward to having Ronnie share his discoveries with us.

I am filled with hope, energy, and love by participating in the National Federation of the Blind because my expectations are raised, my contributions make a difference to me and to others, and I can celebrate the realization of my dreams with my Federation family.
