Attendees of the Convention,
I invite you to take time out of your busy schedule and join a session
called, "The Best You". This informative session will be held in the Alder
Room from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM.
What is it about you ask?
Well, I hope it will be a great opportunity for those who are seeking or
transitioning into employment or leadership to learn about their barriers
and how to form them into triumphs. This endeavor that I have labeled, "The
Best You" is to highlight, emphasize and spark a serious dialogue about the
steps that is needed for the blind to become a successful evaluator and
over-all happy individual with their lives. When job searching, interviewing
and taking assessments are focal points in obtaining a job or for
advancement, it can be depressing, humiliating and stressful, if one does
not have the tools to be productive, satisfied, or reduce or eliminate bad
habits .
I am asking you to join me on November 2, 2019 from 2:00 to 3:30 P.M in the
Alder Room. We will dialog and provide insight on a healthy lifestyle.
Essentially, Resetting our Mindset.
Additionally, I have invited a Personal Shopper, who works at Macy's
department store to give us pointers on how fashion and style is also
associated with "The Best You".
The goal is to introduce and build on tools that will create front-runners
in a modality behavior that fosters personal growth, consciousness, gets
results, and provides structure. We will focus on four points,
A. Cognitive Well-Being
B. Physical Well-Being
C. Emotional Well-Being
D. social well-being
Why these four elements, you ask?
Because if you don't have health, you've got depletion, exhaustion, perhaps
even illness, and then it's really hard to make ANY changes in your life
when you feel like crap or have no energy.
This is not about nutrition, but on the art and science of habit change.
because, these habits are what determines your health, your relationships at
home, in the work arena and in everything else you do.
So join us for a positive and constructive dialogue on changing your
Mindset.
Here are the presenters:
Brooke Dowdy, LPC Clinician, Recovery Resources
Dialogue: Turning lemons into lemonade
Stephanie Konczal, YMCA Chronic Disease Prevention Coordinator
Dialog: Physical Health and Wellness
Robert Spangler, Technology Specialist, University of Dayton
Dialogue: Confidence Building, Self-esteem and Networking
Wendy Mchale, My Stylus, Macy's Department Store
Dialog: The First Impression
See you there!
Oh! Did I mention that I have items to help you relax and remove your
stress?
I hope to see you on Saturday!
Suzanne
