> To help slow the spread of Coronavirus/COVID-19, I made the difficult decision to close all Cleveland Public Library locations and suspend all services including the take-home meal service to children. This was not an easy decision to make, but it was done out of an abundance of caution.
> We are advising any patron with checked-out materials to keep them until further notice. We ask that you not return materials to a branch, book drop, or library location. Due dates for checked out materials and pick-up dates for items on hold will be extended. Materials cannot be placed on hold until we reopen. Fees and library card expirations will be suspended.
> Patrons are encouraged to visit CPL.org to utilize our digital and streaming services including e-books, audiobooks, movies, and music. For homework help and ways to keep kids engaged while they’re on break, visit CPL.org/updates and visit Beanstack to join our March Madness Reading Challenge. 
> If you have any questions about Coronavirus/COVID-19, I encourage you to visit coronavirus.ohio.gov or 1-833-4-ASK-ODH for answers. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) also has helpful information about COVID-19 and resources for the community.
> We encourage everyone to take self-protective measures and practice good social distancing. It is my sincere hope that everyone remains safe throughout this challenging time. Please take care of each other. I look forward to seeing everyone when the Library is ready to reopen.
