You are warmly invited to attend the Mentoring & Outreach Work Group Meeting
on Sunday, August 2, 2026, at 5:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time.

 

Theme: Women Leading the Change

 

This month, we are excited to feature two fearless, confident, and inspiring
women who have accepted the charge to make a meaningful impact within the
national organization of Blind Black Leaders and the National Federation of
the Blind. These dynamic leaders have established themselves as influential
voices in the blind community, and we look forward to learning more about
their journeys.

 

NOBBL Secretary, Janice Bright (SC) and NOBBL Women Workgroup Chair, Camille
Tate (FL) will be our guest.

 

During this engaging conversation, we will explore:

- Their Personal stories

- Their successes and achievements

- The passions that motivate and inspire them

- How they have challenged stereotypes and remained authentic to who they
are

- The importance of confidence in effective leadership

- Their commitment to their affiliates, their communities, and
relationship-building

- Their leadership styles, decision-making, and how emotional intelligence
strengthens their ability to lead

- How mentorship has helped to lead their way.

 

Thus, "Women Blazing Trails from Within and Beyond"!

 

This promises to be an empowering discussion filled with insight,
inspiration, and practical leadership lessons.
