Please join the Oklahoma Sports and Rec Division for an exciting event on
Wednesday, September 30 at 7 PM. The Division is hosting a conference call
to discuss adaptive fencing opportunities in Oklahoma. A coach from Oklahoma
Sport Fencing will be on the call to discuss the blind fencing program.
Anyone interested is welcome to join in on the call. Please see  below for

Are you looking for a fun and different activity to help you get active? How
about Fencing? The sport of fencing is becoming increasingly popular for
blind athletes across the country. On Wednesday September 30, at 7:00 pm,
the Sports and Rec Division of NFBOK will be hosting a meeting via
teleconference where adaptive fencing will be discussed in detail.

 

Blind fencer and Sports and Rec Division President, Cathy Tuton, will talk
about her experience with fencing. Also joining the call will be fencing
coach, Carolyn Fegeil from  Oklahoma Sport Fencing. Ms Fegeil will describe
the sport of fencing and the equipment that is used. She will also provide
information about the fencing classes for blind athletes at Oklahoma Sport
Fencing. The blind fencing program at Oklahoma Sport Fencing strives to
provide fencing instruction at no cost to participants and transportation is
provided.
