[NFBOK-Talk] CALL TO ACTION! FEBRUARY 13TH - 1ST ANNUAL NFBOK AT THE CAPITAL DAY!

Dear Fellow Federationists,

 

As a reminder, the 1st Annual NFBOK at the Capital Day is fast approaching.
Mark your calendars for Tuesday, February 13th, 2018! 

 

We will meet at 9:00 a.m. in room 412-A to prepare for our Coffee Break
reception at 10:00. We have invited all of our House Representatives and
Senators. Please make every attempt to attend. Our legislators need to meet
blind people and learn about us. We need to help them understand that we
must be involved in legislation about us and introduce them to legislation
that we want! Please dress nicely and wear comfortable shoes. While we will
have coffee and pastries do not depend on these for your breakfast. 

 

In preparation for the day please utilize the look-up link below in order to
find your representative and senator.  

 

You may find your state representative by going to the Oklahoma house of
representatives page at www.okhouse.gov <http://www.okhouse.gov> .  At the
bottom of the page there is a link for "find my representative." You will be
required to enter your full nine digit ZIP Code. If you need to look up your
nine digit ZIP Code there is a link to do so below. Once you have looked up
your state representative and state senator, please send them to me as soon
as possible.  We can then have this information in advance of our first
annual NFB OK At The Legislature Day. This will help us arrange outreach
teams for the event.

Postal Service. Note: I had some difficulty when clicking directly on the
state picker item button. I found that if I clicked on the go button found
at the bottom right corner of the keyboard after riding in my city it would
open the picker item
