[NFBOK-Talk] Going to the 2018 NFB National Convention?

To all members attending the NFB Convention in Orlando,  July 3rd through
8th;

 

Each year our affiliate has a booth in the exhibit hall. The primary reason
for the booth is to raise money. This year we will have a variety of items
for sale.  To make sure we have workers during exhibit hall hours,  we are
asking each member of NFBOK attending national convention to volunteer for a
minimum of two shifts, preferably 3.  Each member will be assigned to at
least one shift. It may be necessary to assign more than one shift as we
need two people working at each. Every effort will be made to assign you to
your first shift choice. Please select from the shifts below and send your
top 2 or 3 choices by e-mail to Glenda Farnum at gfarnum at cox.net
<mailto:gfarnum at cox.net>  on or before June 30th.  When you request your
shift assignments include your cell phone and or e-mail address. You will be
notified  of shift assignments by July 2nd

. 

Exhibit Hall shifts

Wednesday, July 4

Shift 1: 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Shift 2; 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

 

Thursday, July 5 

8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

 

Friday, July 6

12:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m.

7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

 

Saturday, July 7

12:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m.

 

It is customary and encouraged for states to sit together during the
banquet. This affords us an opportunity to enjoy the company of our Oklahoma
Federation family and get to know one another a bit better. When you pick up
your registration packet, a banquet ticket will be included if you purchased
one. If you did not purchase one during pre-registration you may still
purchase one at convention. These tickets only ensure that you will have a
meal they do not ensure that you will have a seat. That is where banquet
ticket exchange comes in. The tickets must be exchanged for table and seat
assignments. Please turn in your tickets to Glenda Farnum at the NFBOK
Exhibit Hall table D-12 between 11:00 and 1:00 on Wednesday July 4th. You
may pick your new ticket up from Glenda on Friday during General Session in
the Oklahoma section. 

 

The Oklahoma caucus will be on Thursday evening at 9:00 PM in Wekewa 5. We
will meet to discuss the 2018 Resolutions and answer any questions you might
have about convention in general.
