Training: Bird Dogging – Grassroots Power in Action!

The Center for Independent Living of Central PA (CILCP) is excited to bring to Central PA a training which is sweeping the nation----“Bird dogging”! It is a technique of seeking out politicians, pinning them down to specific questions
or information and publicly getting their viewpoint. It is used during meetings and in public situations, such as press conferences.

Attendees will learn how:
•    To identify lawmakers and the issues important to them.
•    Lawmakers may influence other lawmakers to support their issues.
•    To build relationships with state and federal lawmakers and their staff.
•    To prepare questions to ask lawmakers

The presenter, Paul Davis, is the National Advocacy Coordinator at Housing Works in Washington, D.C. Davis is a well-respected longtime advocate for healthcare in America.

2018 is an election year. Perfect time to put your new skills to work when talking to lawmakers about polices!
