Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Student Accommodations
• Serve as the University’s primary contact for current and prospective
students, faculty, staff, and parents regarding accommodations for
students with disabilities
• Foster a strong institutional commitment to collaboration on
disability related issues with students, faculty, and administrators
• Manage the application and evaluation process for accommodations
• Conduct intake interviews and consultations with students
• Supervise proctor and exam services for students with accommodations.
Serves as a back-up test proctor when needed.
• Evaluate and interpret medical documentation for eligibility
determination
• Collaborate with the Associate Dean of Students to determine
eligibility and implement reasonable accommodations in accordance with
legal requirements
• Collaborate with faculty and administrators to implement reasonable
accommodations for course-specific pedagogy and assessment for
classroom, lab, clinical, experiential and online learning environments
• Collaborate with administrators and staff to provide reasonable
accommodations within the campus residence halls and with dining services
• Manage case files and prepare correspondence to students, faculty, and
administrators
• Coordinate services for students with disabilities with the Student
Health and Counseling Center, the Student Success Center, Career
Services and other campus service providers
• Review and revise accommodations policies and procedures to ensure
compliance with relevant legislation and best practices as established
by CAS Standards and AHEAD guidelines
• Develop and present disability related programming for students,
faculty and parents
• Develop and maintain print and online documents, forms, publications,
and local resources to promote access for students with disabilities
• Evaluate and obtain assistive technologies for students with disabilities

Student Early Intervention Response Team
• The Program Coordinator serves a member of the Student Early
Intervention Response Team (SEIRT) to assist at-risk students to achieve
academic, personal, and professional success. SEIRT serves as a
behavior/academic intervention response team facilitating student
retention/success.

Administration
• Manage the budget for the Office of Student Accommodations, deploying
resources as appropriate for the strategic plans of the Office of
Student Accommodations, Division of Student Affairs, and the University
• Annually assess the effectiveness of accommodations and services
provided through the Office of Student Accommodations
• Meet weekly with the Associate Dean of Students
• Participate on University committees as needed
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned
