Position Type: One day a week

Position Length: Permanent

Archbishop Ryan Academy for the Deaf / Saint Lucy Day School for
Children with Visual Impairments is seeking an Assistive Technology
Teacher for the 2018-2019 school year.

Duties:

Assists the Teacher of the Deaf / Teacher of the Visually Impaired in
teaching a variety of technology skills to students with sensory
impairments. Prepares materials and equipment to be used by the
students in the technology room. Writes lesson plans and keeps
relevant data toward IEP goals.

Qualifications:

College education preferred.

Must have current PA State Police Criminal Record Check, PA Child
Abuse Clearance Check, Federal Criminal Background Check, Attend Safe
Environment training and attend Mandated Reporter Training.

Necessary Abilities:

Genuine interest to work with children with sensory disabilities.
Ability to utilize speech accessibility options such as Voice Over,
and JAWS software. Ability to utilize magnification settings and
magnification software such as Zoom Text. Familiarity with Word, Power
Point, and Excel. Ability to adapt to new and/or unique situations as
they arise. Ability to establish rapport and appropriate relationships
with students and their families. Able to maintain confidentiality.

Interviews will be granted to the most qualified applicants. PA
required clearances and official transcripts will be required before
employment can begin. Applicants must provide a letter of
recommendation from the pastor of the parish in which the applicant is
registered.

This is a one day a week, 10 month position. Interested parties should
