I am covering more basic topics right now, like using Outlook for email, Word for documents, and working within Windows 10. Maybe at some point we can get into the topics you mentioned, but since I am not very familiar with what you described, I will need to research it before presenting a JAWS training on it.

Will there be any jaws training that goes over jaws frames and how to customize your applications without being a script writer or programmer? If I remember right, jaws frames let people who are non-scripters, non-programmers to customize applications to speak when they want, how they want, and to assign keypresses to make jaws do things or read things based on frames. If I’m right, jaws frames act like how the old window-eyes windows in its set files used to act, they, too were for non-programmers, non-scripters.

Here are the Zoom events today from the NFB of Pennsylvania. Details for how to connect are after the event descriptions.

Summary of Monday, May 4:
Noon - 12:45PM, JAWS Training with Joe
1PM - 2PM, Relaxation Hour with Lily
2PM - 3PM, Coffee with Emily
5PM - 6PM, Reading Round Table with Marsha
7PM - 8PM, Pittsburgh Round Up with Emily (first Mondays of the month only)

Here are descriptions of each event:

Beginner JAWS Training with Joe – Monday, May 4,  from noon to 12:45PM EDT.
Please join us as we explore the capabilities and usability of the industry-leading JAWS screen reading application. Mondays will be devoted to beginner-level JAWS skills.


Relaxation Hour with Lily – Monday, May 4,from 1PM to 2PM EDT.
We will be Learning and doing yoga exercises, breathing techniques, and meditations. It will be a time for everyone to let go of their stress and frustration. The immune system is proven to work more optimally under Little to no  stress. I have learned many of these techniques during my college years studying integrative health care.


Coffee with Emily – Monday, May 4,from 2PM to 3PM EDT.
We will discuss legislative issues facing blind Americans, laws affecting the education of your blind children, and our Braille Enrichment for Literacy and Learning (BELL) programs scheduled for this summer. Parents, teachers of blind students, and anyone interested in the topics of legislation, parenting, and education are encouraged to join us. Reading Roundtable with Marsha – Monday, May 4, from 5PM to 6PM EDT.
Pull a chair up to the table and share with us about your favorite books and reading media. Have you discovered any new favorites recently at home while practicing social distancing? Let's talk about them.


Pittsburgh Round Up with Emily – Monday, May 4,from 7PM to 8PM EDT.
If you live in or near the Pittsburgh area of Pennsylvania, please join us. We will be holding these Round Up calls once a month on the first Monday of each month.
