Full Job Description

Assistive Technology Specialist Position

Life and Independence for Today is looking for a motivated, organized,
tech savvy individual to manage all aspects of LIFT’s assistive
technology (AT) programs.

Primary duties include:

  *   Work with local and state programs, identify funding resources
to acquire AT for people with disabilities
  *   Build knowledge of various types of AT
  *   Provide device demonstrations to assist individuals with
identifying and obtaining AT to best meet their needs
  *   Assist individuals with processing applications
  *   Organize and maintain inventory of all LIFT’s AT
  *   Complete Quarterly and Yearly Reports
  *   Fulfill all grant requirements
  *   Attend meetings, trainings, and conferences
  *   Oversee the Re-Use Program: pick up, clean, and deliver equipment
  *   Assist with Outreach, Disability Awareness, and Fundraising Events

Applicants must possess the following:

  *   Degree in Human Services preferred; high school diploma with
previous experience working with people with disabilities will be
considered
  *   Knowledge of Microsoft Office/Outlook/Teams/Zoom
  *   Ability and willingness to travel throughout LIFT’s six counties
(Cameron, Clearfield, Elk, Jefferson, McKean, and Potter)
  *   Ability to multi-task; manage and maintain requirements for
various grants and programs
  *   Experience with data entry
  *   Excellent verbal, written communication and organizational skills
  *   Must have conducive conditions for remote working
