Full Job Description
Our client is seeking an Accessibility Testing Manager. Ideally you
will possess experience in Section 508 and W3C WCAG Accessibility
assessments, Manual and Automated testing, and software remediation.
HIRING MANAGER NOTES:
* Accessibility Testing Manager - ideal is hands on or someone
who has come up the ranks with managerial experience
* Team size varies from 10-20 will manage effort to be ADA
compliant and hit the necessary accessibility requirements and manage
Offshore resources along with different time zones
Qualifications:
* Ability to effectively communicate with verbal
communication; method should be formal and indicate the ability to
communicate complex topics concisely
* Lead the testing interfaces, perform this validation, and
experience testing web-based interfaces for compliance with design
specifications is critical.
* Manage the growth of the system over several years and seek
to build towards big goals.
* At least 3-8 years of relevant Accessibility testing
experience. Knowledge of Section 508 and Web Content Accessibility
Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 requirements for IT software and hardware.
* Perform complete Accessibility Audit and validation testing
on software and documents, based on Section 508 and/or W3C WCAG 2.1
accessibility guidelines.
* Write detailed findings to document identified issues and
recommend potential solutions and best practices for remediation of
accessibility violations.
* Apply software fixes and/or additional accessibility
features within the target software source code.
* Develop and deliver informative and useful high-quality
outreach/educational presentations.
* Prepare and conduct training on accessibility related topics.
ADDITIONAL Responsibilities:
* Test set definition - determine the scope of the testing
environment. Identify user interface components found in the client's
system.
* Reporting - deliver testing results to the client and
participate in conference calls and subsequent discussions; create a
road map to improve the accessibility and usability of the client's IT
system.
* Technical consultation - consult with customers on the
appropriate methods for implementing digital accessibility in systems,
including web, mobile, hardware and document systems.
* Business Process Consultation - work with customers to
consult on the process implementation approach for accessibility in
the client's environment.
