> The NOBBL Women’s Group is pleased to present an author talk with Haben Girma, the author of Haben: The Deafblind Woman Who Conquered Harvard Law. She will share the insights she gained through the process of getting to, and graduating from, one of the most prestigious law schools in the country. The book, number DB 96188, can be found on NLS BARD. This author’s talk will take place on Monday, August 14, 2023, at 7 pm. All are invited to attend. Please share this invite with your chapters and affiliates.

> Also, we would like to thank all who attended our June meeting where we had an excellent presentation about the use of Robert’s Rules of Order. Denise Avant was our main presenter, and Denise Brown and Suzanne Turner shared great insights about how they use Robert’s Rules to facilitate effective meetings. Other chapter leaders chimed in with excellent pointers and questions, which made the experience even richer. We did not record this meeting but hope to do it again at a chapter or affiliate meeting where it could be recorded. In the meantime, there is a book on NLS BARD entitled Robert’s Rules in Plain English, book number 53540, that may provide helpful insight into the subject for those who are looking for resources.
