Welcome!

Whether you're visually impaired or blind, and whether you  are a senior or almost a senior, there is so much we can learn from each other. 

Okay, let's face it. We all face depression from time to time, especially as we face loss of sight. 
So, let's talk about how to deal with our depression and discuss ways we might even avoid depression. 
There is no one way to deal with depression, we are all different. 
As a social work student majoring in mental health some 30 years ago, we looked at depression and we learned as I said, there is no easy answer, no magic pill, it takes work. 

During our discussion we want to remember that we don't want to make each other depressed, rather we want to encourage everyone to fight depression in whatever way works best for that person. 
I am thinking we have all faced depression and we all have suggestions for what has worked for us as individuals. I believe that if we share what has worked best for us, we may be able to help each other. 

So, lets talk together, learn and share.
