Yvonne, I just got $45 in an Amazon gift card from one of these studies. Another one sent me the results of the paper they wrote and a gift card. This same group and I are going to the next step this coming Thursday and yes they are sending me a check, in this case.
Unless it is a kid trying to do a survey, I only participate in paid studies.
I will help kids for free. The rest pay me for my vast knowledge base.
Warm smile,
Becky in her Joy Wheels

Good morning to you. This is Yvonne hughes. I am a member of the greater Philadelphia chapter of the NFB. Most of the time they each out to us for more research about what we deal with. What are they offering in return with the outcome of getting information from us. It is a constant battle to have to always be the experiment or the individual that’s giving information but they do nothing to give back to us. We would love more services of equality and inclusiveness. Even though the national Federation of the blind is not the ones doing it but at times I have reached out and to no avail and some responses even from the national Federation of the blind. It is almost as if once you get in then they can count your membership, you pay your dues and everything. I go to the national conferences as well as my state conferences. I don’t mind giving information, but what is the outcome for those of us that are giving this information when we want better service. How does it work? Is it always us being the guinea pig or can someone make it that we’re doing something great as far as being independent, learning to live on your own, learning to raise your family and live a better quality of life. Thank you so much for your email and I hope in time things will get better instead of it always been them using us to get answers but will not give us any outcomes to help us. Hire individuals who are blind to be able to serve in those capacities that they continue to utilize us for. Have a great day. Yvonne hughes
