Hey there PA Federationists!
I hope that 2023 has started off great for you!
Episode 057 of White Canes Connect is now available! In it, Lisa and I speak with Michelle Glaze and Eric Bennardo from Foundation Fighting Blindness. They explain how they came to the organization after participating in a VisionWalk. Eric, President of the Pittsburgh Chapter, talks about the FFB on a local level. Michelle, Director of Professional Outreach, discusses the research funded by the Foundation as well as ways to participate in studies to help find treatments and cures for blinding retina diseases. In case you missed it, episode 056 dropped just before Christmas. In it, Lisa and I speak with guide dog advocate and Newley elected President of the PA Association of Guide Dog Users Katia Hadjeb-Rahman. Katia tells us about her first NFB of PA State Convention and how she almost didn't attend the annual PAGDU meeting there. She is a passionate advocate for guide dog users, and it shows.
