Hello Mike,

Thank you so much for reaching out. My husband and I visited Chuck in a rehab center after he took a fall at home.  It just seems as though it was the beginning of the end.  

I too am grateful of the opportunity to know chuck.  We had many good times talking politics and about the NFB.

I know he was looking forward to his 25th Wedding Anniversary next year.  It is so sad.

On a brighter note, it is awesome to hear that Laura will be having a little one!  And your first grandchild.  You must be thrilled.

Would be willing to send me Laura’s contact information?  I have taken up making baby blankets and hats and would love to send her something.

Where did you move too?

Also, I will contact National and see if I can get Lynn’s contact info.  If I get it, I will share it with you.

Laura and the Wolk family are deeply saddened to learn that Chuck Morgenstern has passed away.

Chuck lived near us in Allentown, PA before he moved to Pittsburgh.  Chuck was instrumental in introducing Laura and me to the NFB and helping Lisa Mattiola and me get the PAPOBC established.  He was a positive role model for Laura and a tremendous mentor to me.  He served as the PAPOBC Treasurer for some time.  More than all that, Chuck was a very unforgettable kind, thoughtful and caring person and we are forever grateful for all that he has given to us.

Chuck called me around 6-9 months ago.  He wanted to know whether I had Lisa Mattiola's contact information.  Lisa apparently relocated after her husband passed away.  The last time I spoke with Lisa was two years ago.  I don't know where she moved to and don't have her contact information.  Chuck was going to try contact Lisa's daughter, Lynn Mattiola Bailiff, who is married to Michael Bailiff.  I met Lynn and Michael many years ago at NFB Conventions.  I've been meaning to contact Chuck to find out whether he was ever able to reach Lisa or Lynn.  And now I can never speak with Chuck again.

Do you happened to know where Lisa Mattiola moved to or have her contact information?  Do you have Lynn Mattiola Bailiff's contact information?  I would love to get in touch with them.

Our Laura is expecting her first child and our first grandchild on Thanksgiving.  We're all very excited as the day approaches.

Lynne, I hope hat you are doing well.  Thank you for everything that you are doing as the NFB-PA President.  The NFB is still so very important to Laura and me.  The NFB gave Laura a strong start when she was a child which has helped her to become a very successful adult.  We both consider the NFB to be an extraordinary organization in our lives for the invaluable benefits delivered to Laura and our family.
