Hello Federation family! I hope you are all well. I know it’s been quite a while since I’ve touched base or spoken with most of you… It’s been a very busy stretch of several months for me… Back in September I was hired as a front desk clerk at the Homewood Suites Downtown Pittsburgh located in the strip district. Though this has been a great season of my life, standing 40 hours a week and operating a property management system, with no accessibility features has taken its toll, and my body has made it incredibly clear that this must end, and end quickly. I am searching for a new job and I have put out several applications already, but as I have learned through the past two years of over 300 applications, sometimes applications just aren’t enough… If any of you have any connections with job openings in customer service, guest experience, hospitality, and more importantly, nonprofit work, including marketing or communications, please send them my way. 

Also, my apologies for losing touch on creating the Pittsburgh chapter. I’ve talked with several people who are definitely interested in being a part of the organization. Hopefully in the near future, my schedule calms down a bit, and I can put some time towards helping get the structure in place for the chapter!

Along with this, I wanted to share an exciting opportunity with you that I have been given for the third year in a row… Each year in July, I apply and head down to Daytona Beach to serve alongside a team of about 300 other individuals as we pave the way for over 6000 youth group students and their leaders to come into the ocean center in Daytona Beach to hear the good news of Jesus through a high energy summer camp style worship conference. That said, I have started my annual fundraising process. I’ll attach the link below, but even just praying over our safety, provision, and well-being during the experience is more than appreciated.
