Artificial intelligence is rapidly changing how
people work, learn, create, and
communicate. It is becoming part of daily life
for many Philadelphia residents, from
translating speech to text, explaining new
concepts, identifying surroundings, and even
providing customer service. It appears in all
aspects of our society, including our personal
and professional lives.
Accessibility, or the lack thereof, remains a
major concern nationally and locally.
Navigating ableism through microaggressions
or overt discrimination can be challenging for
people living with a disability.
As helpful as artificial intelligence can be, what
are some of the risks it poses? How has AI
positively and negatively impacted your own
life? What tools exist, and what are the gaps?
How do we build a city where information and
opportunity are accessible to everyone?
Bridging Blocks is a series of neighborhood
discussions aimed at bringing together culturally
and politically diverse households for civic
dialogue and understanding.
Join WHYY News Community & Engagement
team for Bridging Blocks, in partnership with The
Free Library of Philadelphia, PECO, and
supported by the Sutherland Family.
Have wonderful weekend,
