[NFBSATX] AIM HIGH TESTIMONIALS NEEDED URGENT

BLUF:

DETAILS:

The Legislative and Advocacy Committee is collecting letters regarding your stories of inaccessibility in your
academic fields. We are all working hard in effort to have Congress
pass the Accessible Instructional Materials in Higher Education Act
(HR 1772 / S 2138)

The legislation will authorize the creation of voluntary guidelines to
help colleges and universities meet the needs of blind students and
students with other disabilities that make it difficult or impossible
to read print.

We will be presenting your letters regarding inaccessibility to our
Congressional representatives during Washington Seminar. I would like
to encourage you all if you have not already done so to please write a
story and make your voice heard. You also do not have to be a student
to write these letters, you can write your letters of support
especially if you are in the teaching field, a technology instructor
or simply are in support of passing this legislation.
