Hello everyone,

Just a quick note to begin a conversation related to the 2021 Washington
Seminar. I will begin by letting you know that this event will be virtual.
There is nothing for you to do at this point. In fact, please don't take
any action regarding the seminar until I provide chapters with additional
instructions about how things will work. I just wanted to make sure you
know that there is no need to reserve hotel rooms or purchase airline
tickets.

We will be making ALL appointments from our affiliate office. So, please do
not make contact with your congressional office unless you are asked to do
so by someone in our affiliate office.

A virtual seminar will allow for more participation than usual. So, we will
be working with people to make sure they can participate in meetings with
their representatives and senators. I would like to make sure we know who
wants to participate. So, I have set up a quick participation form. The
form will request that you tell us who your representative is. If you don't
know, I am going to include a link in the form that will allow you to find
out. I would wait to complete this form until after the election just in
case there is a change in leadership in your congressional district. For
example, I know that my congressman is retiring. So, there will be a new
person in that seat. If I check to see who represents me right now, it will
show me the current person's name. I don't know how soon the new
representatives will be listed, but that should happen no later than the
first week in January.

I am going to go ahead and share the link to the form you should use to
notify us of your plan to participate in the seminar. That way you can save
the link and use it when you are ready. If you forget to save the form
link, it will be sent out again, in January.

I am also going to share the link to check who represents you. I am sure
most of you will know this because you are planning to vote in the upcoming
election. But here is the link just in case your candidate doesn't win and
you can't remember the other guy's name.

I still don't have all the details ironed out for the seminar. So, be
patient. I promise to follow up with you shortly after the new
congressional session starts, in January. We will begin our work just as
soon as the congressional offices allow us to.
