All those interested in participating in Washington Seminar in
February 2022 please read because I have a deadline to submit names!

Washington Seminar is going to be hybrid with a small contingent going
to Washington, DC and the rest having virtual meetings with
congressional representatives. The details may change by February but
this is how it stands as of now.

Dates of Washington Seminar: February 7 through 10, 2022
Date I must submit my list of interested members: December 3, 2021
(which means I need members to contact me who are interested no later
than December 2nd!)

In person spots available for Texas: 2
In person details: you must be very experienced and have excellent
travel skills to be considered. Also, you will be responsible for
paying for food and miscellaneous expenses but your flight and room
will be paid for (you will be sharing a room with one other person)

Virtual spots available: to be determined
Virtual details: You will be assigned to a team to speak to
congressional representatives. The issues the NFB will focus on and
appointments with the representatives wil be handled by a designated
and experienced team lead. Each meeting is relatively short and you
may be asked to share a personal story of how the issue impacts you as
a blind person.
(Also, since it's virtual, your team will contain NFB members from
Texas but they may not all be from San Antonio)

If you are interested in making a difference in issues that impact
blind people please contact me and I will put your name on my list to
submit. (You do not need to have Washington Seminar experience to
participate in the virtual sessions)

If you have any questions please contact me but I do need to finalize
my list by December 2nd so I can submit it by December 3rd.

President
San Antonio Chapter
