Dear Friends:
The following is not endorsed by the NFB, but I am sending it to you
because it is blindness related, and it could be beneficial during
this upcoming convention season.
Note that all times are central.
Regards,
Daniel

Safety Positive Foundation teatime
Welcome to Safety Positive Foundation - the innovative non-profit
organization committed to empowering the blind and visually impaired
to take control of their personal safety and security. One of our
major goals is to provide a comprehensive range of resources,
programs, and services that enable individuals to proactively protect
themselves and their loved ones. We firmly believe that blindness
should never be a barrier to personal safety, and we are dedicated to
breaking down those barriers. To learn more about our philosophy and
services, please visit our YouTube channel at Safety Positive
Foundation and our website at
www.safetypositivefdn.org<http://www.safetypositivefdn.org/>.
At Safety Positive Foundation, we are committed to promoting a
proactive approach to personal safety. That's why we host weekly
discussions on a variety of safety topics, which we call Teatime.
Inspired by the ancient tea ceremonies of Samurai warriors, our
Teatime sessions provide a modern platform for individuals to come
together and discuss important safety issues. Join us every Monday
night at 7:30pm central time to participate in these engaging and
informative discussions. Don't miss out on this unique opportunity to
learn and grow in your personal safety journey.
Join us for a series of engaging and informative discussions on
personal safety and security, hosted by the Safety Positive
Foundation. Throughout the month of June, we will be focusing on the
crucial topics of consent and boundaries. These sessions are
completely free and open to all.
Here's a sneak peek at what you can expect from each week's session:
On June 5th, we'll be exploring the concept of consent and boundaries
in everyday interactions. We'll delve into the three most common types
of interactions we experience and how consent and boundaries play a
role in each.
The following week, on June 12th, we'll be discussing positive
personal safety boundaries that you can set for yourself. We all have
different boundaries, and in this teatime, we'll explore some common
ones and provide tips on how to establish positive boundaries in your
daily life.
On June 19th, we'll be sharing steps you can take if your consent or
boundaries have been violated. While we hope that everyone respects
our boundaries, that's not always the case. We'll provide you with
options to take if you find yourself in this situation.
Finally, on June 26th, we'll be discussing how to set positive consent
and boundaries when attending large gatherings or conventions. Whether
you love these events or not, we'll provide tips on how to create
positive boundaries for yourself and what to do if they're broken.
All sessions start at 7:30 pm central time on Monday nights. To join
us, simply email
safetypositivefdn at gmail.com<mailto:safetypositivefdn at gmail.com> to
receive the Zoom link and additional information about our
organization. We can't wait to see you there!
