Transportation Equity Workgroup

Hello Pedestrian Access Advisory Committee,

I’m passing along some information about our Transit Equity Workgroup, for those of you that may have interest. If you have any questions, please contact Annya Pintak, copied on this email. Thank you!

Applications are now open for the Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT), Transportation Equity Workgroup <https://www.seattle.gov/transportation/projects-and-programs/programs/transportation-equity-program/equity-workgroup>  and we invite you to nominate an individual to apply for a seat in SDOT’s first Transportation Equity Workgroup!  The Transportation Equity Workgroup is looking to bring together a diverse group of individuals affiliated with Seattle-King County community-based organizations, coalitions or networks from Seattle’s racial and ethnic communities. We are seeking workgroup members who have an interest in providing community-guided suggestions on transportation related challenges to be considered in the development of SDOT’s Transportation Equity Agenda, a framework for transportation equity goals and priorities. A stipend of up to $5,000 will be provided to workgroup members selected to participate. 

For additional information on the Transportation Equity Workgroup and application materials, please see attachments. Applications are due on Friday, February 22, 5:30 PM. 

Additionally, we invite interested applicants to attend our rescheduled Evening Learning Session this Wednesday, February 13th, 6:00 PM at the Centilia Cultural Center, 1660 South Roberto Maestas Festival St, Seattle WA 98144 – more info in the attached flyer.
