Rooted in Rights and Puget Sound Sage, a community-based organization that
advocates for racial and economic equity in regional policy, are working
together to bring disability and environmental advocacy together and we
need your help in just three short steps:
1) Fill Out the Energy Survey
We want to know how members of the disability community use energy and how
we should prioritize resources and advocacy to address climate change,
pollution, and the roll-out of renewable energy. Take the survey here
<https://ee.kobotoolbox.org/x/#kE46SgZW>!
2) Send Us Your Winter 2019 Snow Stories
We are advocating for more inclusive emergency preparation procedures so
that when extreme weather occurs, people with disabilities are part of the
solution and not left out in the cold. Share your story here
<https://rootedinrights.org/video/snow/>!
3) Get Groceries
If you complete both of the steps above with a RIR team member in person,
you’ll receive a $20 gift card to Safeway. You can find us either at a
community event in King County this summer or by contacting us directly by
emailing Clark at clarkm at rootedinrights.org or calling (206) 324-1521 x244
We are building power together to advocate for affordable, renewable, and
safer systems that center the needs of frontline communities, because a
green future needs to be accessible to everyone.
