> Hi all! I’m circulating the invitation below for those of you who have not already signed up for this event. We have more staff to assist, so we are not limiting our numbers any more. If you have a disability or work with people with disabilities, and you’d like to attend, please respond to this message to let me know. It will be a good opportunity to see what Sound Transit is doing to make rail stations more accessible and to provide your feedback to us about what would make it even better.

> Hi all. Sound Transit will be opening three new stations in early October and we want to give people with disabilities the opportunity to explore these stations before they open. There will be a combination of travel trainers, O&M specialists, and other Sound Transit staff available to assist as needed. Please read over the details below and respond to me directly at donna.smith at soundtransit.org if you plan to attend and to let me know if you need an accommodation. Also, feel free to share this invitation with other people with disabilities who may be interested.
>
> What: Event to explore three new rail stations – Northgate, Roosevelt and U District stations
> When: September 1, 2021, 1:00 – 4:00 PM
> Where: Start at the Northgate station and progress through the Roosevelt and U District stations
> Come and check out these new stations and learn about the accessible features. This is a great opportunity to learn about our stations and observe how they are laid out and the various elements that make them accessible. You will have a chance to check out the new fare-paid zone, new signage including tactile maps, elevators and escalators, tactile wayfinding markings, and to see how these stations connect with local bus service including paratransit. We will provide a shuttle bus to transport people between the three stations, and return you to the first station to connect with your transportation home.
