Washington spends billions of dollars each year on transportation. These projects affect our mobility, our health, the climate, our livelihoods, and social and economic equity for people across the state. How we invest in transportation impacts nearly every aspect of our lives.

But right now, our state's approach is stuck in the past, using the same transportation strategies from 50 years ago. Less than 5% of transportation spending right now invests in transit, walking, and biking. With climate catastrophe on the horizon, we can’t afford any more years of status quo.

Washington is past due for a new transportation package from our state legislators. We want leaders to pass a new package this year — and to make the most of this unmissable opportunity to invest in our communities.

Tomorrow we’ll join our campaign partner organizations as well as several special guests at a transportation speak-out event in Everett.
