Here is some national NFB news. At the bottom of this email there is information about our quarterly  “Introduction to the Organized Blind Movement” calls. These calls are a great way for people who are curious about our organization but have not joined yet to learn more about us.

March Presidential Release:

Please note the podcast format is now updated. The next live presidential release is scheduled for Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at 8:00 p.m., eastern. Zoom TBD.
 

National Convention Registration Open!:
Believe, Dream, Include, Lead, Champion. Join us for the biggest event of the year, the 2024 National Convention of the National Federation of the Blind—a truly exciting and memorable event. A wide range of seminars for parents of blind children, technology enthusiasts, job seekers, and other groups will kick the week off on Wednesday, July 3, in Orlando, Florida. Braille Readers Are Leaders:
Join us in celebrating the incredible participants of the Braille Readers Are Leaders contest! This year we were blown away by the enthusiasm and dedication shown by all those who took part.

Introduction to the Organized Blind Movement

The National Federation of the Blind invites blind people to learn more about what it means to be a member of the organized blind movement and the benefits of joining our community. Take advantage of this opportunity to hear from active members and leaders on the myths and uncertainties of the Federation. Geared toward people who are unfamiliar with our organization, these calls will cover membership, philosophy, and purpose.
