Greetings Fellow Riders,


The Sound Transit Board will vote tomorrow at 1:30pm (Union Station) on a
revised ST3 (

R2026-11.pdf). There are several important last-minute events in our push to
Build the Damn Trains, starting with an announcement by Mayor Wilson to save
the Graham Street Station at 4pm today. Please come join us (if you are a
TRU member, please let me know if you need a signature TRU yellow shirt) as
these will be the final events bringing attention to ST3 and Light Rail
expansion for a while.

Mayor Wilson and Executive Zahilay will announce an amendment to the ST
proposal that would fund Graham Street Station. 

 

	

 


Tomorrow (5/28) at Noon 

 


Save Ballard Rail "Funeral March" 

 


5th and Yesler (end of the RapidRide D Line from Ballard). 

 


Attend SBR's funeral march "In Loving Memory of Ballard Link Extension". The
funeral procession leaves at 12:00pm sharp for the three-block walk to Union
Station. If possible, wear all black, except a green Save Ballard Rail shirt
if you have one.

Sound Transit Board of Directors Meeting (virtual + in person)

The Board will vote on the proposed resolution amending ST3, along with the
recent amendments. The resolution can be found here:

Build the Damn Trains Coalition Press Conference 

 


Union Station, 401 S. Jackson St, Seattle, WA 98104 

 


The coalition will make remarks about the ST Board vote AND that the fight
is not over. We will continue to fight to build the damn trains.

Regional Transit Safety Task Force Vote 

 


If you're a member, please also join us for TRU's voting on the Regional
Transit Safety Task Force Proposed Solutions. We will vote on TRU's
recommendations on May 28th, 6:30pm-8:00pm. Please note the updated time to
accommodate those who wish to also attend the BTDT press conference.
