[NFBSea] Sad news

I am sad to share the news of the death of Albert Sanchez. Albert was a  friend, a kind person and a part of our NFB of Washington history. I met him when I first joined the Federation in 1981. We worked together in the NFB and shared many meals and laughs  back in the day. Albert served as Secretary of our affiliate from the early 80s through the mid 90s. He attended the piano tuning school in Vancouver and had a piano tuning business for many years. He lived in different parts of Washington at various times and participated in the Federation at many levels.  After marrying his wife, Jeri, he moved with her to North Carolina. He stayed on our NFB of Washington listserv and occasionally posted a message. He was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease several years ago.
I will definitely miss Al’s  kind heart and quick wit. The National Federation of the Blind is a better organization for having him as part of our movement.
