[NFBSF] Youth of Tomorrow October and November events

We have two event invites in this email, check out both below!



*Youth of Tomorrow’s October *seminar will focus on college preparation and
how to write college admission essays. Guest speakers, Matt Andrews, from
College Inside Track and  Sue Koppett, writing coach and Vista client will
be sharing their tips and tricks for how to attend the college of your
dreams!



Sue Koppett is a writing coach who tutors middle and high school students
in writing both for classes and college essays. She has helped students get
into top colleges like Stanford and Yale. She will be there to help you
write your college essays.



Dr. Matthew Andrews runs a weekly online workshop that provides tips for
prospective college students. He will be there to answer any questions you
may have related to college admissions and the process of attending college.



College admissions is right around the corner, don't miss your chance to
get a jump start on the college admissions process!



When: Saturday, October 26, 2019

Time: 10am – 1pm

Who: Students ages 14-24

Where: Vista Center San Jose 101 N. Bascom Ave

FREE to attend with snacks and light refreshments provided

Youth of Tomorrow invites you to attend the California NFB State Chapter
Convention in Milpitas. This event will take place at the Embassy Suites in
Milipitas. The convention will include opportunities to network with
successful individuals who are blind such as meeting with the California
Association of Blind Students, learning about creative job hunting when
you’re blind, autonomous vehicles, and a chance to attend and wear your
“interview” clothes as you dress to impress.



If you are interested in attending on Saturday November 9th, please RSVP by
October 30th. Transportation will be provided from Vista Center to the
event. This is a student only event.



When: November 9th, 2019 all day

Who: Young adults between the ages of 14-24

Where: Embassy Suites, Milpitas

FREE to attend
