Hello All,

Our next "Banquet Speech Review and Leadership Development Discussion" group will be on THIS Tuesday, August 25th at 8 PM Pacific time.

The San Francisco NFB chapter is listening to and discussing one NFB speech per month. Jim Barbour is facilitating these discussions.

One of the best ways to develop NFB leadership is to deepen our understanding of our NFB philosophy. And, one of the best ways to deepen our understanding of NFB philosophy is by reading and discussing speeches and publications from current and former NFB leaders.

Our next speech will be "Directing Big Data and Technological Innovation: Perspectives on the Importance of Leadership by the Blind", by Chancey Fleet. "Chancey speaks to the proven techniques that have been a part of our independence, to the new technology that can either expand or limit it, and to the necessity of us seeing that it does the former rather than the latter. With her firm philosophical understanding, her impressive grasp of current technology, and the gift she has for blending all of this into something that speaks to us all"
