Are you an NLS-certified Braille Transcriber or in the process of working
on your Certification for Transcription? or are you interested in assisting
an agency for the blind in transcribing children’s books for ages 4 to 8
years old? Vista Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired, located in
Palo Alto, San Jose and Santa Cruz, is seeking individuals who can work
remotely to transcribe children’s books. Project will include creating a
brf file in contracted or uncontracted braille. BRF files will be reviewed
by a Certified Transcriber for accuracy and requires no printing or
binding. If interested or want to learn more, please contact Bethany Small,
Director of Programs at bsmall at vistacenter.org by June 25 and include your
contact information. Great project to practice your skills or get back
into completing simple transcription projects.
