Meeting Minutes
Meeting held on: Tuesday, November 14, 2023, 6:30 PM
Location: Zoom
1.	Call to Order and Introductions
Bobbi invited members to share their name, pronouns, any identities they would like to share and their favorite game.
Board members present: Bobbi Pompey, Christina Daniels, Monica Wegner, Sara Hadsell, Serena Olsen
Members: Erin Lauridsen, Rochelle, Cynthia Fassler, Sherri Albers, Tarin, Jeff Buckwalter, Jamie Tomeselo, Steven Sanith, Ginnie Prince
2.	Reports
a.	Secretary's Report
Monica reported that she emailed the minutes of the October2023 meeting to the listserv. A correction was adopted to include Steven in attendance. A motion was made and carried to approve the Secretary's report.
b.	Treasurer's report
*	Sara delivered the treasurers report. Reported bank balance is $966.60. A motion was made and carried to approve the Treasurer's report.
*	Annual dues are $10 and are payable in January. If anyone wants to pay dues and is using PayPal or Venmo please use this information to pay:

The address for payment of checks is 585 9th St, Oakland, CA 94607. If paying by PayPal, you must do it on a computer, which is where you can select that you are paying a friend, rather than purchasing an item. The PayPal phone app is set up for commercial purchases.
*	Presidential release recap

c.	Legislative report
Monica discussed President Riccobono's article and on internet voting rights for the blind and opposing views. 3.	Oko Demonstration
Seth Wilson attended and gave the chapter an overview of the OKO app. The app is able to identify the color of a traffic light using the iPhone's camera. OKO can be downloaded for free from the Apple App Store.
4.	Chapter announcements
a.	State convention:
*	The NFB of California Convention will take place on March 14 through 17 in Sacramento.
*	There was a mini convention on November 4th over Zoom. Everet Bakon was our national representative.
b.	Holiday party
*	The chapter discussed several options for the holiday party including it being hosted at Lighthouse.
*	LM and Monica also offered their homes.
*	The holiday party will be hosted at Monica's with the exact date to be confirmed and emailed to the NFBSF listserv. It will be a potluck format.
*	There is a $40 booking fee and a $100 refundable cleaning deposit. It was agreed that the chapter would pay the $40 booking fee and refund Monica for the cleaning deposit if needed after the party.
*	A motion was made and seconded to pay the $40 reservation fee and the $100 cleaning deposit if needed.
5.	Adjourn: A motion was made and passed to adjourn the meeting.
