Dear SF Affiliate Chapter Members,


We are excited to announce a social meetup on June 15 at 1:00 PM at Drake’s
Dealership in downtown Oakland. Drake’s Dealership is a popular brewery and
restaurant located in a historic auto dealership building, known for its
delicious craft beers, wood-fired pizza, and lively outdoor beer garden.
This is a wonderful opportunity for members new and old, and those we
haven’t seen in a long time, to reconnect in an informal setting. Feel free
to bring friends who might be new to the Federation to come and meet us!

Depending on the weather and the energy on June 15, some of us might take a
walk around Lake Merritt after our gathering. We’d love to gauge your
interest in joining us for this additional activity.


As the San Francisco affiliate of the National Federation of the Blind
(NFB), we are part of a nationwide organization dedicated to improving the
lives of blind individuals through advocacy, education, and support. The
NFB believes in the potential of blind people to live fulfilling and
independent lives, and we strive to spread positive messages about
blindness and the opportunities available to blind individuals.


At the Federation, we know that the most meaningful change can happen in
one-on-one interactions and in community. We’re looking forward to seeing
you and enjoying a great time together!
