Subject: Tour of National Cathedral
Hello,
I have a friend and coworker who is a docent at the National Cathedral. In January, he offered to give my mom and I a tour. He did a great job of explaining the art and architecture to me and also allowed me to feel the different types of carvings and sculptures. He said there were tour notes specifically for blind visitors and he wanted to revise and update these notes that were made in 1988. I mention that since my move to NoVa in October, I have been a part of some blind organizations and wanted to share this information with people who would be interested in taking a tour of the cathedral. So here I am, sharing this with you all. If you would like a tour, I will include contact information below. Should the tour group exceed 10 people, a group reservation and a – per-person admission is required. Also, for a more personal, extended tour with a small group please contact me and I will be happy to pass along your information.
